Growth

2 Peter 3:18 – “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Growth is an interesting experience. It can present with many surprises, change, pain, upward momentum, downward spiraling, a roller coaster of emotion… you get the picture. But one thing is certain, growth is necessary. In the cycle of life what isn’t growing is either dead or dying. God’s desire for our lives is that we grow.

While our physical growth may have its limitations there are other ways in which we can grow. Mentally, emotionally, and spiritually we should strive to be more than what we were yesterday. To learn, to experience greater and to become the best versions of ourselves.

Every moment of our day holds within it a lesson, but it is up to us to both seek it and receive it.

Allow me to challenge you today to invest the time, energy, and resources it may take to learn a new skill, change a mindset, connect and cultivate a new or existing relationship.

To deepen your walk with the Lord and grow closer to Him, for the closer we walk with Him the greater peace, joy, love, protective, and promise His presence brings. You don’t have to grow like someone else or in the same frame of time, but we do have to grow.
