About Us

J Bar Enterprises was established in October 2008, when owners David and Tanis Jamar recognized a need for sanitary restrooms on construction sites. As a part-time venture to take up free time on their days off, the Jamars began servicing contractors in the area with just 15 sanitary restrooms and eight roll-off dumpsters.

Since then, our company has grown and expanded yearly – our products and services, our service area, and our whole team. J Bar now offers a variety of sanitary restrooms and hand wash stations for construction sites and special events, luxury restroom trailers, roll-off dumpsters, and more.

Today, J Bar regularly performs over 2,000 sanitary restroom services a week. It has almost 180 dumpsters out in the field, and those numbers keep going up, thanks to our loyal customers and the hardworking members of our team.

Each member of the J Bar team plays a vital role in the satisfaction of our customers and, ultimately, the company’s success. We each abide by a set of core values (servanthood, self-employed mentality, family, honest communication, overcomer, excellence in the ordinary), which are the foundation of our company regarding how we serve our customers and the respect, we show for each other.

Chief Executive Steward

David Jamar wears many hats at J Bar. He is the Chief Vision Caster, Chief Culture Champion, Chief Performance Monitor, Chief Perspective Curator, Chief Leadership Developer, Chief Foresight Agent, Chief Opportunity Maximizer, Chief Resource Steward, and Chief Ministry Catalyst.

David enjoys weekend RV trips with the family, monthly shooting with “the guys,” and enjoys hosting a weekly Life Group. David finds his motivation in sharing in the life accomplishments and success of J Bar employees. “J Bar started as something to keep me busy on my days off and has turned into a passion that I love. The days of dreading going to ‘work’ are few and far between!”

Tanis Jamar

Chief Wellness Steward

Tanis Jamar ensures that J Bar offers a robust wellness program for its employees and their families that encompasses financial, physical, emotional, spiritual, and professional wellness. She is also the Finance department head. Tanis and her husband David have five kids: 4 girls and one boy.

Tanis grew up in Alaska and lived there until she was 21, then moved to Texas to finish her Bachelors‘s in Nursing at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. She loves the mountains and riding horses and says that combining the two things is a great day anytime she can connect the two things. Tanis finds her motivation because her company is more than just a business. “Several years ago, David and I became acutely aware that J Bar was not our business but the Lord’s. More than that, J Bar wasn‘t just a business. It was our ministry. This realization has pushed me to move from my previous role as mainly behind-the-scenes business manager to the role I’m transitioning into of Chief Wellness Officer. After 13 years, I still come to work each day excited to see what opportunities The Lord will put in front of me that day to invest in J Bar’s employees.”

Kenneth Jordan

Principal Human Resources Steward

Kenneth’s role as Principal Human Resources Steward is to make life easier for each one of our Team Members, and ensure that newly recruited individuals understand the power of our core values.

Kenneth has the opportunity to solve issues that involve pay and reviews and documentation, understanding that doing these things in an orderly manner is crucial for the overall success of our company. Kenneth has been married to his sweetheart for 30 years and together they have three children who have turned out to be wonderful people. He loves being on the water (sailing, kayaking, and skiing), enjoys playing his acoustic guitar and singing, and can say “Happy Birthday to You” in Hebrew. To make him even more interesting, Kenneth once bounced a running chainsaw off his leg and only suffered two minor scratches. Kenneth strives to do his best each day for many reasons, each pertinent to his personal success as well as the team. “I am motivated to do my best because 1) that’s what God calls me to, 2) the J Bar Team is depending on me, and 3) I find personal fulfillment in a job well done. I love to find extraordinary significance in the day-to-day pieces of life, so I try to look beyond routine and attempt to make this little corner of the world a better place.”

Sarah Sims

Recruiting & Payroll Steward

Sarah Sims has the pleasure of supporting J Bar’s HR department with the primary focus of processing payroll and recruiting qualified candidates to join our J Bar family. Sarah has done a great job not only bringing wonderful people to the J Bar team, but ensuring current staff have everything they need.

Sarah and her husband have been married for six years, and she landed her dream job of becoming a mom 4 ½ years ago with the birth of her first son, Shepherd. Less than two years later, the Lord blessed them with another little dude, Spencer. The two make Sarah’s life full of adventure! Sarah loves to have the opportunity to spend time and play games with friends and family. Lots of laughs are always welcome in Sarah’s book. She is a people person and started her career in HR because of that simple fact. Sarah is excited to get back into it and strengthen her skills in order to serve J Bar to the best of her ability, and her dedication is already shining through! Sarah is motivated by a Bible verse, Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Sarah says, “I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be a part of J Bar and look forward to all the great things they will accomplish now and in the future. I am challenged to hire the best in order to serve our customers well. I am excited to grow within my role as well as a person here, with these incredible colleagues and customers!”

J.P. Erskine

Training & Safety Steward

J.P. creates job-specific onboarding training for J Bar’s various departments so that there is a unified J Bar method for accomplishing tasks from person to person and location to location. He is also tasked with creating safety protocol, safety training courses, and safety auditing for J Bar to protect both its human and physical assets.

Lastly, as the need arises, he serves as Project Management Steward for major events that J Bar finds itself a part of. J.P. has been married for 33 years to a local Burnet girl and has one daughter, 30, and 1 son, 26, both Burnet High School graduates, and owns an awesome doodle mixed dog named Woodford. J.P. served in the USMC for five years and was the Fire Marshal for Burnet Fire Department for 27 years, retiring in July of 2023. He enjoys staying fit, working out five days a week, because life is too short to eat bad food. He enjoys hunting, traveling, and scuba diving as hobbies, and he has been a youth baseball and softball umpire for over 36 years. J.P. also likes creating graphic designs and creating logos and icons for use in various end user products. J.P. is motivated by the opportunity to use his past knowledge and skills to succeed in new endeavors. “I’ve been involved in training, injury and burn prevention, and incident management and investigation for almost half of my life. Using what I have learned over that time to protect the people I work with and help grow this company to its full potential is the perfect challenge for my next phase. Working for a Christ-centric organization with great employees like J Bar has is a blessing that I can easily wake up to every morning that I have to be at work. GO J Bar!!”

JJ the Jackalope

JJ the Jackalope joined the J Bar team in 2020 and since then has served as a reminder to work and live by J Bar’s Core Values. These core values include Honest Communication, Overcomer, Family, Excellence in the Ordinary, Servanthood, and Self-Employed Mentality.

Each week, a J Bar employee is recognized for their efforts to exemplify one or more of our core values during the week prior. JJ is awarded to this person as well as an $50 award or gift card, and front-row parking, as a thank you for upholding these values – even in the simplest of tasks. JJ the Jackalope has been on a new adventure each week, as he tags along during the employees’ work day and weekend activities. Christy Duran

Principal Sales Steward

Christy Duran brings 20 years of sales leadership experience to J Bar. Christy oversees the sales and marketing team to include the Customer Experience Stewards, the marketing team, the Outside Sales Stewards, and the Special Events Stewards.

She works closely with her team to ensure J Bar’s goals are met and our customers receive the excellent level of service we promise. Christy has been married to her husband Edgar for 17 years, and together they have three boys: 16-year-old twins Briston and Ashton, and 12-year-old Edgar. All three of her boys play football, so naturally the Durans are a huge football family! Christy’s motivation lies in the impact she strives to leave on her team members. “My motivation comes from the rewards of seeing those under my leadership grow and succeed. I want those that I come in contact with to be the best versions of themselves.”

Savanna Gregg

Lead Marketing Steward

Savanna works to promote J Bar’s mission, vision, and values by maintaining our website and social media accounts while keeping existing and potential customers informed about our services.

She has a blast working with our marketing agency and staff on creative videos and radio commercials designed to share J Bar's story, educate customers, and provide entertainment all at the same time. Savanna is a Burnet native and is married to her high school sweetheart, Adam. Together, she and her husband have a beautiful 3-year-old named Mayzie and a handsome pup named Maverick. Time well spent is time with her family, cuddled up with a good book, or at the many country music concerts she attends each year. Savanna finds her motivation in the daily opportunity to share her passion with the J Bar team and their customer base while promoting the values of a company she truly enjoys working for. “I have loved every bit of this job from the moment I started interacting with my coworkers and customers. Being able to make a difference in the marketing department means finding new ways to bring our customers, community, and team together to share in all the good things J Bar has to offer.”

Nadia Padilla

Lead Customer Experience Steward

Nadia has been a part of the J Bar Sales Team since 2019. Her daily tasks include answering all incoming phone calls and emails and assisting customers with their requests, from new deliveries to updates on existing sites; handling customer concerns or complaints and transferring to the appropriate supervisor when necessary, and utilizing our system for all reporting and documentation.

Nadia has lived in Marble Falls her whole life and has a 6-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. Her family has two dogs: Duke, a coonhound, and Shadow, a pit bull terrier. Being a part of a growing company and growing alongside her sales team, Nadia finds her motivation in the customer satisfaction she ensures each day. “I feel so accomplished hearing the relief in a customer’s voice when we tell them we can meet their needs when it comes to the services we offer!”

Nikol Meeks

Customer Experience Steward

Nikol Meeks is one of our customer experience stewards that answers phones daily, enters orders for customers, directs customer concerns to the proper department, and ensures our customers’ expectations are met. Nikol was actually named Locals Love Us Receptionist of the Year for 2022!

Nikol has a great sense of humor and enjoys talking with her coworkers and customers throughout the day. Her positive attitude shine through her work and her communications with her customers! Nikol is a mother of girls, loves cats, and painting is her passion. She loves Jesus, coffee, and tea.

Trinity Boyd

Customer Experience Steward

Trinity Boyd is one of our customer experience stewards that answers phones daily, enters orders for customers, directs customer concerns to the proper department, and ensures our customers’ expectations are met.

Trinity has already hit the ground running with scheduling septic services for our customers! Trinity is a hard worker, has a positive attitude, and is full of energy. Trinity is motivated by the atmosphere at J Bar. “The family atmosphere and encouragement of the other team members motivates me daily.”

Taylor Price

Customer Experience Steward

Taylor Price is one of our customer experience stewards that answers phones daily, enters orders for customers, directs customer concerns to the proper department, and ensures our customers’ expectations are met.

Taylor loves to golf, likes to interact with people though he comes off a little shy, and is actually a transfer from J Bar’s operations department - he is glad to be inside and not doing the dirty work now! Taylor is motivated by his wife and kids at home. “They make me want to do my best at everything I do and give it my all.”

Katie Arnold

Customer Experience Steward

Katie Arnold is one of J Bar’s customer experience stewards, answering phone calls and emails from customers, scheduling deliveries, addressing customer concerns, and getting them to the appropriate point of contact when needed.

Katie helps ensure customers are satisfied with J Bar through and through by providing the best experience possible. Katie has lived in Burnet for three years, and has a two-year-old girl and a six-month-old boy. Her family also has a German Shepherd and a boxer/pit mix. Katie loves to cook and bake, and her family loves to be outdoors as much as possible. Katie is motivated by her family at home. “The Lord has blessed me with an amazing husband, two babies, and a roof over our heads. My family drives me to be the best that I can be so I can give them the life they deserve.”

Amanda Decker

Outside Sales Steward - Special Events

Amanda Decker takes care of our event customers looking for sanitary restrooms, luxury restroom trailers, and other services for their wedding, festival, or private event. Amanda’s role in special events plays an important part in maintaining customer relationships.

She is happily married with seven wonderful kids, and has been in the customer service industry for over 20 years. When Amanda is not working, she loves to crochet. Amanda is motivated in her work at J Bar in the fact that her role addresses and solves a customer’s issues. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to help people with their needs for their upcoming events.”

Kaylene Stephenson

Outside Sales Steward (Hill Country)

Kaylene Stephenson is one of J Bar’s outside sales stewards, specializing in growing our territory in the Hill Country area. Kaylene’s goal is to build and foster relationships with our customers out in the field, and ensure their needs are met on every jobsite.

Kaylene plays a major role in customer satisfaction and works with our operations team to ensure their needs are met each day. Kaylene has four amazing kids, and loves being on the water any chance she gets. Shark Week also happens to be her favorite time of the year, so remember that when you call the office around that time! Kaylene finds her motivation in the family-like atmosphere provided by J Bar. “This company as a whole always puts family first and it is rare to find that. I have already learned so much and I’m excited to see where this takes me."

Glenn Thomas

Outside Sales Steward - Austin Area

Glenn Thomas is responsible for growing our customer base in the Austin area and ensuring we are meeting the needs of all of our customers on a daily basis. Glenn has almost 9 years of experience with J Bar and always works with the betterment of the company and staff in mind.

Glenn knows the ins and outs of every department of J Bar, from yard operations, to service routes, and now sales. Glenn has held the position of Yard Supervisor and SR Supervisor, then Dispatch, Primary Route Steward, and is now a sales steward. If you have any questions about what J Bar was like in the beginning and how it has changed, Glenn is your guy.

Eric Giffin

Principal Operations Steward

Eric Giffin is responsible for overseeing the processes and procedures of our operations to ensure efficient routes and ultimately, our best level of customer service in the field.

Eric has a background in the sanitary restroom and temporary fence industry for more than 20 years, and joins our team ready to put his knowledge and experience to work in taking care of our customers and team. He tries to find humor in everything he does and says (can you guess what A.A.B.D. means?) and his kind and helpful personality is a great addition to the team. Eric’s personal nature is to help and he does not like the spotlight, but we are going to shine it on him, just a little! Eric grew up in Southern California as a Navy Brat. His father was a Top Gun pilot in an F4 Phantom based at Miramar, FighterTown USA. He has lived in California, Florida, and now calls Texas home. Eric’s motivation comes from his family. “I like to get up every morning with an excitement to help and serve my family, friends, and community. I enjoy being around people that are positive and am able to feed off of that energy.”

Kenneth Meeks

Primary Support Services Steward

As Primary Support Services Steward, Kenneth Meeks is responsible for the yard crew, facilities, and mechanic team, ensuring every team member in those departments follow the J Bar’s policies and procedures when maintaining our equipment, fleet, and facility.

Kenneth finds his motivation in his interactions with coworkers at J Bar. While he likes to joke around and make people laugh, he also knows the value of working hard and puts in a ton of effort to keep J Bar’s operations running smoothly by quickly and efficiently locating the parts we need for our equipment to continue operating. Kenneth also has 28 years in the fire service, enjoys fishing with his kids and being outdoors, and is a dog person.

Jerry White

Senior Route Steward/Staff Minister

Jerry White fills many roles at J Bar as a roll off driver, as well as a senior route steward and Staff Minister. While he continues to work as a driver, he also leads our Tuesday morning meetings with the J Bar prayer and a weekly devotional to encourage staff to show kindness and grace in their work here, and at home.

Jerry is also a pastor at Main Street Baptist Church and is all about his family – especially his grandbaby! Jerry loves to drive in his free time, and attend car shows with his own classic cars. He also recently started a podcast with his buddy, named “Jerry & J Rob Cover It All,” which is worth a listen if you are looking for an inspirational story and encouragement. Principal Finance Steward

Sarah Collard leads the finance team, which consists of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement) otherwise known as “The Fabulous Four” at J Bar. Sarah is tasked with ensuring the company is current and compliant with everything pertaining to money. Her mission is to make certain the company spends money wisely, maintains accuracy and acts with integrity in every translation.

Clear communication and transparency are vital to this mission. Sarah is married to the greatest guy ever and is blessed to have two wonderful grown children. She is a loud and proud Fightin’ Texas Aggie as is evident from the maroon office decor she has! Sarah loves a good bargain, is super competitive in games, enjoys sipping wine and watching sunsets. The beach is her happy place and the Hill Country is her chosen home. She loves to travel, meet new people, and spend time with her family. Sarah has worked in business management roles for over 25 years. She embraces change but also incorporates past experience to perform her job to the best of her ability. Sarah is motivated in her role at J Bar by improving each and every day. “I am motivated to be better in everything today than I was yesterday. I set the bar high for myself every day so I can serve our employees and customers in the best way possible.”

Candice Montgomery

Accounts Payable Steward

Candice keeps track of daily bookkeeping, ensuring that invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely; tracks employee expense reports; and keeps track of J Bar’s vendor information for end of year reporting. Candice is an Army veteran, and spent 8 years as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst.

She spent 4 years stationed in Korea and loved going on adventures! Candice loves to cook – cooking for people is her love language and her kitchen is her creative haven. During the scorching Texas summers, her favorite place to relax is floating down the river in a tube, listening to music. Drifting down the river surrounded by friends and family and the natural beauty of the Lone Star State is a cherished tradition that allows Candice to reconnect with nature and reminds her just how beautiful this life truly is. She loves going on adventures with her family. Spending time with her husband and two children and enjoying quality time together on family trips holds a special place in her heart. Candice finds her motivation in her deep-rooted commitment to ensuring every aspect of the business runs seamlessly and harmoniously. “My dedication to our customers drives me to provide exceptional service, ensuring their needs are not only met but exceeded. Additionally, I take great pride in making sure our vendors are satisfied and that our partnerships flourish. Equally important to me is the well-being of my coworkers; I believe that when we work together cohesively, we can achieve remarkable results. Carrie Duderstadt

Accounts Receivable Steward

Carrie Duderstadt continues our customer relationships by handling all accounts receivable procedures, ensuring billing is accurate and timely for our customers. Carrie is married with three adult kids, four grandkids, two dogs, and two cats. She loves God, family, and J Bar.

Carrie is also a Certified Discipleship Counselor and feels blessed that God uses her to help others. Carrie loves traveling in her free time, and her favorite place to travel is through the mountains. She loves nature and wildlife, fall and winter seasons. Carrie actually is a returning employee to the J Bar team, after fulfilling her calling of being a counselor. She is motivated in knowing that this is where she should be. “I know that this is where God has called me to be. The core values we have here at J Bar and the fact that we are a family, a team, and we work together to take care of our customers and each other! This is not just a J-O-B!”

Christine Lewis

Procurement Steward

Chris Lewis joined the J Bar team to help us analyze costs, negotiate contracts, and offer solutions to manage costs on supplies and vendor services to better serve our clients and employees. Chris always has a smile on her face and a welcoming attitude! Chris’s family is her priority – hers is awesome and she loves doing life with them.

Her happy place is sitting on the beach soaking up the sun, and she also likes to expand her creative horizons by spending a lot of time doing acrylic and resin pours. Chris’ positive attitude is right at home here at J Bar, and that’s where she finds her motivation. “Every day I look forward to working with positive, encouraging people that are reaching to be their best selves.”
