J.B.A.R.

God has chosen each one of us for a unique role in His Kingdom. We are entrusted with the well-being of our families and of each other – but, this precious responsibility comes at a cost. If we choose to live responsibly, we can alleviate many of the negative issues of this life; conversely, if we choose to live haphazardly, we will most assuredly face some of them. (Just Be Aware and Responsible).

We should be encouraged that if we always try to make the world a little better than we found it each day and if our hearts are in the right spot, our Father never lets us walk alone. Matthew 28:20 “. . . teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of this age.” Servanthood

Proverbs 24:27 “Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.” (Prepare Physically for our day) Excellence in the Ordinary

Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Prepare Emotionally for our day – give ourselves an “attitude adjustment”) Honest Communication

Luke 18:9-14 “He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’” (Release our judgmentalness)

Luke 16:10-12 “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?” (Keep our vision) Self Employed Mentality

Ephesians 4:1-6 “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” (Encourage each other) Family

What we do matters. How we do it matters. Excellence in the Ordinary. We are all members of one team and our morals and attitudes reflect us all. So, instead of asking if our performance matters, we should ask will we do what it takes?

We are J-Bar — we are blessed beyond measure. We love — we are thankful beyond measure. We serve, and in so doing become the leaders that God wants us to be.
