A J-BAR PRAYER
Father, we come before you now on bended knee, hoping to honor you with our integrity. Please make our judgement as sound as steel and be our hands upon the wheel. Give us strength and vigilance on our routes and help us to serve others, as You did, Lord, without any doubts. Remind us to be gentle, humble and kind, and help us when we stumble in body and mind. Please shelter our families whilst we are away and bring us safely back to them at the end of this day.
We Balance Family and Working Hard
We talk about the J-Bar Family, but do we believe it is real? Do we believe that we are actually part of a family that accepts each and every one of us if we are honest and try hard? Do we understand how important our role is to our Family? Do we understand that our actions in this pond create significant waves for others in our Family to deal with?
I Corinthians 12:14-26 — For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
We are each indispensable, but we don’t always see or remember that fact. What are your roles and how do they matter? (Go around the room) What happens if your quality or performance is poor? — We are not islands unto ourselves. We are all a part of one team, one Family and we all share one goal. If we get this and we pull together, we will be successful in business and successful in life and each one of us plays a vital role that matters to every one of us.
A long time ago, some of our forefathers stuck their figurative fingers in the eye of the most powerful man in the world (King George III) and signed a document that made them all criminals and wanted men – The Declaration of Independence. After they signed it, one of the original “O.G’s” and greatest wisecracker of the age, Ben Franklin, said: “(Gentlemen) we must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we will all hang separately.” – He got it. . .
If no one has told you lately, you are worthy and you matter to each and every one of us. You matter to J-Bar. You matter to your friends and family. You matter to me. You matter to Jesus. YOU ARE NECESSARY!!!.
We are J-Bar — we are blessed beyond measure. We love — we are thankful beyond measure. We serve, and in so doing become the leaders that God wants us to be.
