A J-BAR PRAYER
Father, we come before you now on bended knee, hoping to honor you with our integrity. Please make our judgement as sound as steel and be our hands upon the wheel. Give us strength and vigilance on our routes and help us to serve others, as You did, Lord, without any doubts. Remind us to be gentle, humble and kind, and help us when we stumble in body and mind. Please shelter our families whilst we are away and bring us safely back to them at the end of this day.
One Another
Servanthood is one of the core values that J Bar was founded upon and is a driving factor in what we do each day. We strive to meet the needs of our customers and community, to help make each a little better.
While the majority of our focus in servanthood is outward, there is one aspect that we cannot overlook: One Another.
Galatians 6:10 states “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” This command was not meant to cause division or insinuate that anyone is more important than another, but to remind us not to forget those with whom we serve, while we serve.
Following the words “one another” through the New Testament, we find God’s prescription for we fellow servants. Be kind, judge not, comfort, exhort, edify, forgive, using hospitality, bear ye one another’s burdens. 19 times in the New Testament we are told to love one another.
Each of us has burdens and struggles we face.
As we serve others, let us remember to serve one another. A kind word, an expression of gratitude, a helping hand and a listening ear may mean more than you will ever know to the person sitting next to you.
