Residential Services

J Bar Contractor’s Services is well-known for our orange sanitary restrooms ing the spot of many construction sites. Still, we don’t only provide for contractors. Many of our customers use our services for residential purposes, and that goes beyond portable restrooms.

RV Services and External Holding Tanks

J Bar offers RV servicing at different frequencies: one-time, monthly, twice monthly, and weekly, for those who live in their RV or are on an extended stay.
Along with that are our external holding tanks. The holding tanks have a capacity of 300 gallons and are used by many residents using their RVs a little more frequently than usual. These units are delivered by our service technicians and can be scheduled for monthly, twice monthly, or weekly servicing.

Roll Off Dumpsters

Many of our customers use roll-off dumpsters for their job sites. Still, they can expect the same level of service if a dumpster is just needed for a residential project. Our 10 and 20-yard roll-off dumpsters are often used by customers who are constructing their own house, moving, or have inherited a house full of furniture and objects they do not need for.
Customers clearing land looking for a container for trees, brush, rocks, and other organic matter are welcome to use our dumpsters as well. Still, they should keep the following numbers in mind when planning their project, as our dumpsters have a 3-ton weight allowance included in the price. The weight of some materials may surprise you!

Leaves, grass, & other organic matter: 1 cubic yard = 0.5 – 0.75 tons
Dry dirt: 1 cubic yard = 1 ton
Wet dirt: 1 cubic yard = 3 tons
Rocks & gravel: 1 cubic yard = 1.2 – 1.35 tons
Trees/Logs: 10 logs = 0.5 tons (may differ based on the type of tree and water content)

Thank you to our friends Gainsborough Waste in Houston, for this breakdown!

We have weekend dumpsters that we deliver on Friday and pick up on Monday for smaller jobs. Customers also have the option of our regular dumpster rental, which includes a 7-day period in the cost.
Along with the 3 tons, our dumpster prices include delivery and removal; no other fuel or environmental surcharges are added to the cost. These costs vary by service area, so it is always best to call our customer service representatives for more information. They will be happy to walk you through the process!

Sanitary Restrooms

While our sanitary restrooms are mainly seen on construction sites and at special events, some customers find themselves using them at home. Customers living on-site during their home construction and awaiting a septic system have used our restrooms many times to provide themselves with a clean restroom environment to pass the time; the same goes for individuals experiencing hardships and finding themselves without plumbing for a period of time.
In the aftermath of this year’s winter storm, we also found our restrooms going out to residents in need of a unit as they waited for repairs to be done to their busted pipes.
Our restrooms are serviced weekly by default*, and can be increased per the customers’ needs – either way, our experienced service technicians are trained to leave all restroom tanks emptied, power washed with hospital-grade disinfectant, and supplies and deodorizer restocked to ensure top-rate cleanliness and freshness for these customers.
Whatever the situation, we are happy to deliver the best service to fit our residential customers’ needs!

*Just as with our construction restrooms, weekly service is included in the price and required to maintain the cleanliness of the unit and the integrity of our company. Our chemicals will leave your unit smelling fresh and clean for ten days, but servicing every seven days ensures a great experience each week.

Savanna Gregg

My name is Savanna Gregg, and I have been blessed with the task of writing blog posts for J Bar! I’ve grown my love for writing since I was a kid, inspired by my grandpa and great-grandma, and encouraged by my family to follow this passion wherever it leads me. I found a love for journalism in high school and participated in UIL competitions throughout that time. I was able to expand that experience into a career, working for the Burnet Bulletin Newspaper for just over two years before finding a new opportunity here at J Bar. I’ve always loved spreading the news to my community through social media, and am so glad to have been given the opportunity to continue that while providing services for our customers at the same time. I hope you enjoy learning more about our company!
