J Bar lends an ear and a helping hand to staff and the community.
At J Bar, we understand the need for guidance, inspiration, and support at various stages in one’s life. We are blessed to implement into our operations is our Ministry, through which we offer help to those who seek it. This applies to employees and their families, as well as our community.
While counseling and support are available daily to our team members, we say an opening prayer each Tuesday morning before our company meeting, and Staff Minister Mark Pederson provides us with his daily devotional. Topics range from how to mirror our company’s vision and mission in our daily work to drawing parallels between Biblical passages and how we operate today and every inspirational topic in between.
To be able to come together as a family and hear the Word of the Gospel – and for some, learn things they may not have already known – is a gift we are blessed to share.
We view J Bar as a BAAM – Business as a Ministry, and Counsel with the Exchanged Life Model through Grace Life International, in partnership with the National Christian Counselors Association.
“The Exchanged Life Program is a Biblical Discipleship Counseling approach that has an amazing success rate and connects people with Jesus Christ who is The Ultimate Change Agent,” said Pederson.
Along with offering counseling services, J Bar does outreach through various projects in the community.
“We’ve got a coalition of Christian businesses that team up with the Highland Lakes Crisis Network as the hub,” Mark said. “We funnel energy, money, and prayers through them to help people in the community.”
Different resources available to staff and the community through this outreach include construction, volunteer social work, legal advice, pastoral counseling, life coaching, physical therapy, and medical, dental, and other health assistance that someone might be seeking during times of struggle.
Part of J Bar’s Vision is that we see ourselves as “a people building company, transforming our people, their families, and our communities;” as well as “a community service company that seeks out opportunities and takes proactive steps toward serving and supporting members of our community that are in temporary and long-term need.”
A way to personify that vision is through this Ministry, and we hope that, should our readers and listeners be in need and seek support, you reach out to us. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions! To learn more about our Ministry and read the weekly devotionals, visit our Ministry page under our website’s “Contact Us” tab.
