The J Bar Difference Series: What Sets Our Construction Site Restrooms Apart?

If you work in the construction industry, you recognize the importance of having a sanitary area to use the restroom and the ability to wash your hands. You are also probably very familiar with a variety of portable toilets and know which ones are safe to enter and which ones you might be wary of.

At J Bar, we are aware of you and your crew’s needs and are happy to provide services to help you meet them. The difference between J Bar and the rest encompasses many different aspects regarding portable sanitation, customer satisfaction, and continued customer relations.

We strive to set the bar in this industry and set standards high for those who use portable toilets – for construction sites, but for personal use as well. One way we set ourselves apart is the name of our units.

Unlike those you find in the list of nicknames for portable toilets, “Sanitary Restroom” is the term we use to identify our product. When you call to begin services with us, you are calling a company that is determined to provide the best customer experience possible and to continue improving our services to better serve our customers.

For starters, our sanitary restrooms remain sanitary thanks to our dedicated service technicians. They follow a 10-step process when servicing the restrooms on their routes. Each day our drivers set out to provide the best service they can and are encouraged to go above and beyond to provide a safe place for our customers to take care of business.

We have a detailed article on our blog about the 10-step servicing procedure, but to summarize, each unit is subject to a minimum weekly servicing in which the driver inspects the unit for damage; pre-soaks the inside of the unit; cleans the floor and urinal; evacuates the tank and replaces the water and chemicals; power washes (and scrubs if necessary) the inside and outside of the unit, guaranteeing it is graffiti-free as we promise; restocks toilet paper and deodorizer; take a photo of the cleaned unit for accountability, and sprays the unit down with hospital-grade disinfectant. This last step helps us to make good on our promise to keep you and your crew safe and sanitized, in turn keeping your families safe at home.

The features of our standard restrooms include grated floors for improved air circulation throughout the unit and non-formaldehyde tank tablets – ensuring that in whatever weather conditions Central Texas deals us, our restrooms remain fresh and comfortable for the user.

Our Elite restrooms come equipped with a complete hand wash station (with a hands-free foot pump, hand soap, and paper towel dispenser). A solar-powered ventilation fan in addition to the grated floors to assist with circulation throughout the unit.

We also offer separate hand wash and hand sanitizer stations as an addition to your rental, which is subject to the same weekly service as the sanitary restrooms, restocked and ensured to be functional and convenient for your crew.

Our sanitary restrooms arrive at your construction site immaculately clean and graffiti-free, as promised, and our goal is to keep those restrooms in the same condition throughout the time of your rental.

Many portable sanitation companies charge a service fee on top of your restroom rental. We put your crew’s sanitation at the top of our list regarding the service we want to provide. Another part of our industry-leading process is that a weekly service is included in your monthly rental. Still, at the same time, we strive to maintain the integrity of our units, and in turn our company, by giving this weekly service.

When you are searching for a company to provide services to meet your sanitation needs, be sure to call J Bar and let our customer service representatives explain to you what sets us apart, and better yet, let us start a relationship with you! We are eager to make you a part of the J Bar Family and demonstrate our mission, vision, and values in the service we provide.

Savanna Gregg

My name is Savanna Gregg, and I have been blessed with the task of writing blog posts for J Bar! I’ve grown my love for writing since I was a kid, inspired by my grandpa and great-grandma, and encouraged by my family to follow this passion wherever it leads me. I found a love for journalism in high school and participated in UIL competitions throughout that time. I was able to expand that experience into a career, working for the Burnet Bulletin Newspaper for just over two years before finding a new opportunity here at J Bar. I’ve always loved spreading the news to my community through social media, and am so glad to have been given the opportunity to continue that while providing services for our customers at the same time. I hope you enjoy learning more about our company!
